How QuickScribe handles your data
QuickScribe respects your privacy and is designed to function with minimal data collection.
Data Collection
QuickScribe does not collect or store user data except in the following cases:
- If you choose to log in, we store your authentication details securely so you can access your account.
- If you highlight text in YouTube transcripts while using QuickScribe, we store the highlight timings so you can access them later.
Data Usage
- Any data processed by QuickScribe is used only to provide the core functionality of the web app, app, or extension.
- We do not share, sell, or use your data for purposes outside of QuickScribe’s intended features.
User Control
- You can use QuickScribe without logging in.
- You can delete highlights and videos linked to your account from the home page.
- You can delete your account at any time.
